This morning we had music with Ms. Shelley. We got to use the egg shakers and we sang Are You Sleeping in different languages. We also sang in “teams” doing a call and response activity.

Our buddies visited us today! We spent time reading with big buddies. Then our buddies helped us paint murals of different animal habitats.

This afternoon Joaquin showed us his tap shoes. We can’t wait to see him do a tap performance for us sometime!

Lola and Friends,

When I was a young girl in high school, I learned to speak French.  My friends and I would speak French at lunch while we ate.  It was a lot of fun.  One of my favorite songs was Frere Jacques.  I still remember it.  Lola and I sang it one day last year while we were riding the train to the Children’s Museum in Portland.  It was fun.

Dear Whales,
I am so excited that Brendan is bringing me to your class this Friday.  I am coming all the way from Michigan just to visit with you.  We will have fun learning some things about Michigan, having a Michigan snack, and reading a story about a Moose.  See you soon!
Love,
Grandma Donna

Dear Mamma,
We like that song too! You wrote a really good message. That song is really funny. We wish you could sleep here so whenever we come to school we can see you.
Love,
Whales

Dear Grandma Donna,
Thank you for reading us that moose story. We really, really, really, really love you. I miss you (Brendan). We liked letting you come in. Your story that you brought was really good. Thank you for making cookies with us. We like your state.
Love,
The Whales
