Smart Board

“We played at recess.  We read Stone Soup and drew pictures on the Smart Board.  We also read about a book with an Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything.  We have our own community jobs and everybody helps.  For movement we did stations to exercise.
Love, Ella”

As Ella mentioned we read a new version of Stone Soup today and then we were able to use the Smart Board for the first time.  Small groups were able to create their own images of Stone Soup, and collaboratively work together to include everyone in the process of learning how to use a new piece of technology.

Every student helped out in the classroom by doing their Community Job, and during creative play all friends helped to clean-up the blocks at the end of the day.

grin So excited to see the great things that are going on in your class this year!  I know I shared with you today, but Ella is so excited about learning, writing, and reading, and we are doing our best to encourage that at home with her too!  It’s just been a great start to a new school year!  Thanks so much for all that you do with our children!!!

Dear Mom,
Thank you for typing that letter because Isabela said, “ELLA!” She thought it was funny that you said that. And I had a lot of fun at recess. I like being on the tire swing because it’s a lot of fun. That’s all.
Love,
Ella

Dear Ms. Katie,
Thank you for giving us a message because Ms. Aja thinks it’s nice. And I like it.
Love,
Ella and the Whales
